Ben Gauntlett
Golf Manager
Favourite thing about working at Dainton?
I love the community feel at Dainton — it's a place where everyone shares a genuine passion for golf. I grew up spending all my time at Dainton Park learning how to play so feel very lucky to call it work.
Favourite post-work pastime?
Long walks and adventures with my wife and Oslo, our crazy Spaniel. Usually with a pub stop planned every mile or so for good measure. For some reason, I do still enjoy playing golf, often in the weekend competitions with the members.

Favourite thing about working at Dainton?
I love helping people create unforgettable memories—whether it’s a wedding, party, or corporate event, no two days are ever the same. Being surrounded by such a beautiful setting and a brilliant team makes it even better.
Favourite post-work pastime?
Definitely horse riding! I have two horses and spending time with them is the perfect way to unwind and recharge.

Favourite thing about working at Dainton?
My favourite thing about Dainton is the family feel it has and gives to others. Being around such supportive people every day really makes a difference to a team and work place.
Favourite post-work pastime?
Spending time with my family, particuarly my son who we welcomed in 2025.

Favourite thing about working at Dainton?
Having been in Hospitality for most of my working life, I enjoy all aspects of this job. I especially like the fact I get to know the members and have some banter with them.
Favourite post-work pastime?
Away from Dainton I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy playing golf but I do not get out as much I would like.

Favourite thing about working at Dainton?
I love how involved my role is with the membership base, creating relationships and doing work that that impacts our members. These relationships inspire me to work to the best of my ability, knowing what I do makes a difference.
I also love the atmosphere at the club, the buzz in the clubhouse and on the terrace.
Favourite post-work pastime?
After work you can usually find me playing a few holes or watching the football with a pint.
